The flame makes heat. The stones make it sauna. Each box contains 33 lb of rounded 1 to 2 in olivine diabase selected for heat storage and soft steam. SaunaLife specifies two boxes for TITAN SL1 even though the heater’s installed stone capacity is 44 lb; the purchase quantity and loaded capacity are different numbers. We keep both numbers visible so the complete heater package is clear before checkout. Inspect, rinse, and stack stones exactly as the heater manual directs.

Two inches can decide whether a cabin layout works. This stainless Heat Shield clips onto TITAN SL1 and reduces the required cabin side and rear clearance from 6 to 4 in. Front clearance stays 16 in and overhead clearance stays 50 in. The shield must remain at least 1 in from combustible surfaces. We are repeating the limitation because it matters: the Heat Shield does not reduce TITAN clearances inside either SaunaTrekker tent.

Check the date on your heater before you buy this one. Every HIVE built since April 2024 already has an Air Tunnel inside it. If yours is older, this is the stainless steel insert that sits down among the stones and gives the heat a channel to climb through: HUUM rates it at a 25 percent shorter heat-up, longer element life, and fewer stones needed to fill the basket. It fits every HIVE and HIVE Mini electric model. A small part that changes how long you wait to get in.

The nicest sauna interiors hide their plumbing. This is the piece that lets an automatic water dosing system feed the stones without a length of tube running down your wall. A black steel pipe just under 24 inches long, fitted with a low-profile nozzle, mounted above the heater and fed through the wall panel from behind. The Autodose unit itself is a separate purchase. This is the part people forget to order, then wish they had, once the panels are up and the wall is closed.

Dropping a Cilindro through the bench is the detail that makes a sauna look designed rather than assembled. The HPC7 is the stainless steel collar that makes it possible on the 10.5 kW model: it lines the cut-out, shields the surrounding timber from radiant heat, and lets the hole be only slightly larger than the heater itself, so the finished result reads as one continuous surface with a heater rising out of it.

Water misses the stones. It happens to everybody, usually around the third ladle, and it lands on the floor under the heater. The SAA00101 is Harvia’s steel catch tray for floor-standing heaters: 17.2 inches wide, 15.2 deep, and nine tenths of an inch tall, so it sits under the base instead of announcing itself. Steel, black, 3.1 pounds. It is the kind of part nobody adds to the first order and most people want by the second winter, so we would rather you saw it now.

A three-sided steel sheath designed and approved for the Harvia 20 ES Pro/S. Harvia’s sheath table gives 2.5 in at the side and rear with it fitted and a 1.2 in gap behind the panel; the same stove bare needs 11.9 in on the sides and rear. 19.68 x 27.95 x 32.28 in, 23 lb, ships with its installation manual.

When a Harvia Spirit is recessed into a bench, the HSP1 is the stainless flange that finishes the opening. Harvia’s description is that it ‘ensures a neat finish and also acts as a thermal radiation shield for your benches’; Note that it protects the bench structures from water and heat and that the stainless steel is easy to keep clean. It measures 22.44 x 17.32 in, weighs 1.43 lb, and is designed, engineered and made in Finland.

A black rustproof steel cage, 9.8 in. across and 15.8 in. tall, that holds a column of stones around the connective flue above a Narvi wood stove. Narvi’s reasoning: the heat of the flue gets used better, and the steam lasts longer because the water flows from the cage down onto the heater’s own stones. Cages can be stacked. Stones are not included, and the 4–6 in stones Narvi specifies for the heater basket are too large for the cage.

A 6.6 gal water heater with the smoke pipe running through the tank, and a stone space on the front holding about 33.1 lb of 2–4 in split-face stones. Harvia’s manual gives 19.7 in minimum safety distance for an uncovered pipe and 9.9 in when the radiation protection supplied in the package is used. 14.2 x 14.2 x 35.9 in, 24 lb. A rustproof steel base, 21.7 x 24.4 in., with legs that adjust from 2.8 to 3.7 in. Narvi’s manuals make a base mandatory in two named cases: a floor of combustible material or a tiled floor, and any floor with underfloor heating pipes or cables beneath the stove.
