HUUM STEEL Electric Sauna Heater | 6, 9 & 10.5 kW
The heater this railing clamps onto, the supports grip the STEEL body, not the ribbed CLIFF frame. See the full product and build your package →
HUUM Reflect S
If both are fitted, the reflector goes on before the railing's wood profiles are fixed. See the full product and build your package →
HUUM’s description: “The safety railing for STEEL heaters helps to avoid accidental contact with hot heaters. It consists of light wood profiles. The safety railing is a good way to make the sauna event even safer and at the same time, it adds style to the heater.”
A railing is a contact guard, not a clearance reduction. Keep every heater, bench, wall and ceiling clearance your STEEL manual requires.
Note this is a different mechanism from the CLIFF railing, whose supports bolt around three of the heater’s ribs. The two are not interchangeable.
The STEEL reflector manual says the reflector should be placed before the wood profiles of the safety railing are fixed. Order the work that way round.

A safety rail is a separate purchase and is not included with the heater. The HUUM Rail S ships as the STEEL safety rail wood profiles, 8 rail supports, 4 corner plates, 32 fastening screws and the installation manual.
A HUUM Rail S can be fitted to a STEEL heater that is already installed, because it mounts to the heater itself rather than to the sauna structure. The manual reads: “Place the safety railing on the heater in a way that the heater's outer wall locks between the supports' side bends”, then “Bend (using pliers) the lower ends of the supports tightly around the heater wall to fix the movement of the supports.” If a Reflect S reflector is going on too, HUUM says the reflector should be placed before the railing's wood profiles are fixed.
A sauna safety railing is a contact guard, and HUUM describes the Rail S as helping “to avoid accidental contact with hot heaters”. It does not reduce the clearances the heater requires, keep every wall, bench and ceiling distance in the STEEL heater manual. The rail is light-colored wood on stainless steel supports, which HUUM notes also adds style to the heater.
The STEEL safety rail does not fit a CLIFF heater; CLIFF takes the separate Rail C. The two mount in different ways, the Rail S supports lock over the STEEL heater's outer wall and are then bent tightly around it, while the CLIFF railing's supports bolt around three of that heater's ribs.

PLAN THE WHOLE SAUNA
Start with the room dimensions, then account for glass, masonry, insulation, ceiling height, required clearances, and available electrical service. That is how we move from a product that looks right to a sauna that heats evenly and comfortably.
