What it does

HUUM’s description: “The safety railing for CLIFF heaters helps to avoid accidental contact with hot heaters. It consists of light wood profiles. The safety railing is a good way to make the sauna event even safer and at the same time, it adds style to the heater.”

A railing is a contact guard. It does not reduce any clearance your CLIFF manual requires.

What the manual says

“Place the support around three ribs of the heater in a way that the outer side of the support is in contact with the heater rod head.”
“Fix the support’s two sides with a bolt and a nut. Tighten the bolt so that the support fits snugly around the heater ribs.”
“Place all the 8 supports on the heater.”
“Connect wood parts using 4 metal plates.”
“Place the wooden railing on the supports and fasten with screws.”

This is a different mechanism from the STEEL railing, whose brackets grip the heater’s outer wall and are bent closed with pliers. The two are not interchangeable.
