What it does

The HUUM Protective Floor Plate is a safety-enhancing accessory designed for use when the HIVE Flow Series Sauna Stove is placed on a wooden or other combustible floor material. This plate protects the floor from fire hazards in accordance with general fire safety requirements.

The manual is equally direct: “Suitable for all HIVE Flow heaters. Protects floors made of combustible materials from the risk of fire in accordance with general fire safety requirements.”

What the manual says about fitting

• Remove the protective film.
• “Attach to the floor with the screws suitable for the floor material / with moisture-proof 2-sided tape / silicone compound. Not included.”
• “Ensure that the upturned edge remains under the heater or protective bedding.”

That last instruction matters if you are also fitting LS protective bedding, the plate goes down first, with its lip captured underneath.
