The nicest sauna interiors hide their plumbing. This is the piece that lets an automatic water dosing system feed the stones without a length of tube running down your wall. A black steel pipe just under 24 inches long, fitted with a low-profile nozzle, mounted above the heater and fed through the wall panel from behind. The Autodose unit itself is a separate purchase. This is the part people forget to order, then wish they had, once the panels are up and the wall is closed.

Dropping a Cilindro through the bench is the detail that makes a sauna look designed rather than assembled. The HPC7 is the stainless steel collar that makes it possible on the 10.5 kW model: it lines the cut-out, shields the surrounding timber from radiant heat, and lets the hole be only slightly larger than the heater itself, so the finished result reads as one continuous surface with a heater rising out of it.

Water misses the stones. It happens to everybody, usually around the third ladle, and it lands on the floor under the heater. The SAA00101 is Harvia’s steel catch tray for floor-standing heaters: 17.2 inches wide, 15.2 deep, and nine tenths of an inch tall, so it sits under the base instead of announcing itself. Steel, black, 3.1 pounds. It is the kind of part nobody adds to the first order and most people want by the second winter, so we would rather you saw it now.

A three-sided steel sheath designed and approved for the Harvia Pro 26. An aluminum-zinc-coated steel plate with adjustable feet that goes under a wood-burning sauna stove. Harvia’s instruction sheet is direct about when it is not optional: “the protective bedding must be used when the stove is installed on e.g. tile floor with a water barrier treatment.” Harvia lists it for its wood-burning stove range with two exceptions, the 20 ES Pro/S and the Linear 22 ES. It measures 22 x 25 in and 2–3 in high, weighs 26.5 lb, and the feet let you level a stove on a floor that slopes to a drain.

Heat-treated birch on stainless steel elements, installed directly onto the stove rather than standing on the floor. This is the larger of Harvia’s two full-ring Legend railings, 33.5 in outer diameter with a 23.6 in inner opening, and it covers the Legend PO165, 240, 240 SL, 240 Duo, 300 and 300 Duo. 33.46 in across, 11 lb.

With the help of protective walls, the sauna heater can be safely placed closer to the sauna walls. This is a great way of saving space and gives you more opportunities to place the sauna heater in the desired spot. By using protective walls, protective distances can decrease by 50%. The protective walls can be used with sauna heaters and light fireplaces.
