What is the mirror glass made of, and can the finish be scratched or worn off?
The mirror is not a tint or a stick-on film. Haljas uses Mirastar glass by Saint-Gobain: clear float glass that goes into a vacuum chamber where a fine layer of metal-oxide particles is deposited onto it by magnetron, forming an extremely thin, even mirror coating. On the double-glazed walls that coating sits sealed between the two panes, so it cannot be scratched, cleaned off, or oxidized from either side, and it gives you a clear view out while the walls read as a mirror from outside in daylight. Only the single-pane door carries its coating on a surface, so wipe it with a soft cloth or sponge as the manual says.
