Narvi NC – The 'Goldilocks of Thermal Mass'
Narvi's multi-stage-combustion stove in NC 16, 20 and 24, with a 4.7 in connective flue on every model, the outlet this kit's start pipe is built for. It is the flue kit for the NC 16. See the full product and build your package →
Narvi Kuru Woodburning Sauna Heater From Finland
The Kuru 14 and Kuru 20. Both carry the same 4.7 in connective flue, with the bottom edge of the connection at either 473 or 19.7 in off the floor, two fixed positions, not a range. See the full product and build your package →
Narvi Kaamos 20 Woodburning Sauna Heater from Finland
The Kaamos 132 lb of stone for rooms of 353–706 cu ft. Same 4.7 in connective flue, with the bottom edge 21.9 in off the floor. See the full product and build your package →
Narvi 30 Wood-Burning Sauna Stove – 24 kW Finnish Heater
The Narvi 30, the largest Narvi we sell that still uses the 4.7 in connective flue. Its sibling the Narvi 50 is 5.7 in and this start pipe does not suit it. See the full product and build your package →
Narvi’s manuals put a hard number on it: an uninsulated smoke flue must stay 39.4 in from combustible structures, or any greater distance the flue manufacturer specifies. That is why the pipe coming off a stove cannot simply keep going up through a ceiling. The Kota Basic Flue 15 is the insulated modular chimney Narvi builds to solve that.
Narvi’s own words: “Designed with a focus on fire safety and insulation, particular attention is given to the area around the ceiling feedthrough to ensure optimal protection. Its modular design allows for flexible installation that can be adapted to the specific conditions of your building.”
The insulated flue is 10 in. in diameter. Below it sits the uninsulated stainless start pipe at 120/4.7/4.8 in. diameter, which Narvi says fits any sauna stove with a 4.7 in smoke output, the figure printed in the technical data of the NC, Kuru, Kaamos 20 and Narvi 30 manuals. The outer casing is zinc-coated steel finished in black heat-resistant paint, and the kit carries CE certification. It weighs 59.5 lb, and Narvi itemises the package contents as one line: Flue Kit.
One detail worth knowing, in Narvi’s words: “the stainless steel pipe can be placed inside an insulated pipe, facilitating easier maintenance and removal of the stove or chimney when necessary.” On a stove that will outlive several sets of stones, that matters.
If you are running standard US 6-inch chimney instead of the Narvi insulated system, the stove-side transition is the Narvi Pipe Adapter, built for the same 4.7 in outlet.
Measure your run. This is a modular system, and a tall room or a pitched roof takes more of it. Narvi certifies the kit CE; your inspector decides what is acceptable where you are building, so confirm the listing your jurisdiction requires before you buy.

PLAN THE WHOLE SAUNA
Start with the room dimensions, then account for glass, masonry, insulation, ceiling height, required clearances, and available electrical service. That is how we move from a product that looks right to a sauna that heats evenly and comfortably.
