Harvia M3 Series 16.5kW Wood Sauna Stove
Sauna stove, Upper/Rear connections, Soot opening, Stove door, Ash box, Installation and Operation manual, 2-year warranty (Consumer use)
Yes, the M3 has rear and upper connection options, and can be tied into an existing masonry chimney in good condition. You will likely want and need a chimney liner if you don't already have one - consult your local building department.
Yes, but the Harvia Protective Bedding must be used.
Make an opening in the fireproof wall for the flue connection. Notice that the opening has to be at the correct height, if you intend to use, for instance, a protective bedding. The hole should be slightly larger than the flue connecting pipe. A suitable gap around the connection pipe is ca. 10 mm. It is advisable to round off the inner corners of the flue opening to ensure that the combustion gases can flow freely to the flue.
Refer to manual for instructions on connecting to top of M3 to chimney.
The adjustable legs enable the stove to be installed firmly on an inclined floor. The adjustable range is 0–30 mm. Unscrew the adjustable feet to an extent that allows them to be adjusted using a wrench (17 mm) when the stove is in position.
Yes, as with all wood burning sauna stoves you should set it up outside on a calm day and 'preburn' to cure the paint until you can't smell any odors. Timing will depend on how hot you get it, but we like to get a good burn going for 4 hours before installing. Be sure to let the stove cool off before installation, preferably overnight.
Yes, all wood stoves require ventilation for proper combustion. Harvia recommends an intake vent behind stove, very low on the wall and a exhaust vent high on the opposite wall.

Very happy with the M3. First off Ben did a great job answering all of my questions and walking me thru the best stove selection for my build. Shipping was fast and painless. The stove takes 30 minutes to heat up and doesn’t use as much wood as I imagined. I also purchased the heat shield for clearance and with the help of a friend install was quick and easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Ben from sauna market place again. Cheers!
