The handle
KOLO bends the handle from bamboo into a half circle and fixes it at two points on the rim. Swing it up and you carry the bucket like a classic pail; let it down and it rests along the rim, out of the way of the ladle. KOLO says the handle stays cool to the touch in the heat, and the bamboo gives a warm, natural contrast to the matte aluminum, whichever color you choose.
Bucket 2 or Bucket 3?
Same aluminum, same bamboo, same 1.3 gal, different handle. The Bucket 2 carries the curved bentwood bow and stands 7.9 in tall. The KOLO Bucket 3 has a single straight bamboo handle rising from the side, which brings it to 13.4 in overall. Choose the bow if you like to carry a bucket from above, the straight handle if you like to lift it from the side.
Add the ladle
The bucket ships on its own. KOLO’s Ladle 2 is the match, 16.9 in long with a 10.1 fl oz aluminum head on a bamboo handle, in black or white. The same bucket and ladle also come boxed together as KOLO’s Sauna Set 2.
Does an aluminum bucket get hot?
Not too hot to handle while there is water in it. An empty metal bucket left sitting in the hot room is the one to avoid, and the bamboo handle is there so you never have to grab the metal.
