The heater we’d put in most home saunas
We named the CORE our top electric sauna heater for 2027 in our heater guide. It covers most home saunas, it fits tight layouts, and in black it reads as part of the design, whether your walls are pale aspen or dark Thermo-Aspen. We know what works from running SaunaShare and from working with commercial bathhouse operators since 2018, and the CORE is the heater we’d choose for most home builds.
Built to last
HUUM builds the CORE in Estonia. The black exterior comes finished from the factory, so there’s nothing to face, stain or seal. It carries HUUM’s three-year residential warranty (one year commercial, heating elements excluded).

The heater, four adjustable legs and HUUM’s installation manual. To run it you’ll also need a HUUM UKU control and 88.2 pounds of 2 to 4 inch stones, which is three boxes of HUUM Stones 24. Both are in the options above.

Installing it
A licensed electrician makes the 240 V connection. Keep 2 in of clearance on every side, 43.3 in from the top of the heater to the ceiling and a 1 in air gap underneath. HUUM wants the room at least 80 in tall, with 44 to 51 in from the top bench to the ceiling, and recommends a guard rail. The heater fixes to the floor with the included brackets. When you size it, add 3.3 cu ft to the room for every square foot of uninsulated glass, tile or brick.
HUUM also allows the CORE to be built into a sauna bench along its full height, as long as the top of the heater sits no lower than the bench surface and air can move freely under the bench.
