Every new HUUM UKU control system ordered from Sauna Marketplace is guaranteed to ship as UKU 4.2, whether you buy it separately or with a HUUM heater package. The guarantee covers the complete control system, not a replacement panel or an individual spare part.
UKU 4.2 adds a second view of your sauna conditions. Its required safety sensor sits above the heater’s heating-element stone container. The included bench sensor measures both temperature and humidity. HUUM recommends installing this optional sensor high on the wall opposite the heater, 5 29/32 inches below the ceiling; it is not mounted at seating height. Follow the U.S. UKU 4.2 manual for the exact sensor locations.
Installing the bench sensor is optional; the safety sensor is required. Have your electrician follow the UKU 4.2 manual for both sensor locations. The new set also includes a long heat-resistant cable for the panel, sensors and door contact, plus an updated door-sensor kit with more installation flexibility.
Choose UKU Local to run the sauna from its wall panel. UKU Wi-Fi adds remote control through the HUUM mobile app while keeping the same on-panel operation. Black and Wood panels are available in both configurations; Glass, Mirror and Gold are additional Wi-Fi package choices on this listing.
Know the temperature setting: with the bench sensor installed, the maximum set temperature is 194°F. With only the required safety sensor, it is 230°F. These readings come from different locations; follow the UKU 4.2 manual for sensor placement.
The current U.S. UKU 4.2 system controls heaters up to 11 kW directly. Higher-output HUUM HIVE heaters need the UKU Extension Box. Heater power wiring is separate from the included control/sensor cable; use the heater manual and a licensed electrician for electrical sizing.
The door sensor is mandatory. Panel and sensor placement must follow the UKU 4.2 manual. A matching panel finish does not make older main modules, sensors or wiring interchangeable with 4.2.
