    The middle rail in Harvia’s Virta family: 22.6 in wide, 20.6 in deep, 3.9 in high, wood, CE and EAC certified. Harvia’s railing sheet lists the HL3M against the Virta HL110, HL70S, HL70SA, HL90S and HL90SA, the 10.5 kW Virta and the steam-equipped Combi models, and it is specified ‘for use with Virta HL110/HL70SA/HL90SA’.     The Virta is a floor-standing electric heater with a black steel exterior. Harvia’s own description of what the rail does: the wood design “brings a touch of softness to the black steel exterior of the heater” and “will help protect you from coming into contact with the hot exterior of the heater”.

    Three depths, one width, pick by model code

    All three HL3 rails are 22.6 in wide and 3.9 in high; only the depth changes. Harvia’s HL3/HL4 safety railing sheet prints a model list against each one:

    • HL3S, 17.8 in deep: Virta HL70, HL90.
    • HL3M, 20.6 in deep: Virta HL110, HL70S, HL70SA, HL90S, HL90SA.
    • HL3L, 23.5 in deep: Virta Combi HL110S, HL110SA.

    Those are Harvia model designations, not kilowatt ratings. Read the code off the rating plate on your heater and match it to the list, a rail one size off will not land on its mounts.

    Our 10.5 kW Virta is the HL110, so the HL3M is its rail. On the Virta Combi the 9 kW is the HL90SA, which is also on the HL3M list.
