What’s in the pouch
Two pieces of pink Himalayan salt, rough and natural in shape, packed in a kraft paper pouch with the Rento label. The salt has the pale pink and orange tones Himalayan salt is known for, and no two pieces look quite the same.
How Rento intends it
Rento’s direction is simple: set the salt out in the warm, moist air of the sauna. The Rento salt cup, a black aluminum cup with a slotted handle, is made to hold it, and the cup can sit right on top of the heater stones. As the salt sits in the steam it slowly gets smaller, which is when this pouch comes in.
Give it a dish
Because the salt slowly dissolves in the steam, keep it in a cup or dish of its own rather than setting it straight on a bench or on bare wood. That keeps the salt where you want it and the boards clean.
