Steel for the water, birch for your hand
The cup and neck are glossy stainless steel, the same polished finish as the Harri Koskinen bucket, and the handle is pale, plain birch. Rento presents the two as one collection with a simple Scandinavian design, so the ladle and the bucket share their lines and their materials.
At 19.9 in from end to end it is longer than Rento’s everyday ladles, which run 16.1 to 16.9 in. The extra reach helps from a deep bench or with a heater set a little farther away. Dip it, lift it, and pour slowly so the löyly rolls off the stones and back across the bench.
With or without the bucket
The ladle works with any bucket you already have. It looks most at home in the Harri Koskinen bucket, polished steel next to polished steel, and the pair makes a gift that needs no explanation. Both come from the same Rento collection, so the steel and the birch match from one piece to the other.
