In the box
- 1 gal stainless steel bucket with an upright wooden handle, 1.25 lb
- Matching stainless steel ladle with a wooden grip, 17 in long, 0.25 lb
Why the handle stands up
The wooden handle rises from the side of the bucket, so you take hold of it from above with one hand. ProSaunas designed it for exactly that grip: grasp the bucket, lift, and douse yourself with a splash of water. The steel body has no staves and no liner, just a polished shell 12 in by 10 in across.
A long ladle with a wooden grip
At 17 in, the ladle puts a good distance between your hand and the heater, and the wooden grip at the end of the steel shaft is where your fingers rest. The bowl is 7 in across, sized for throwing water onto hot stones.
Bucket or pail?
ProSaunas also makes a stainless pail with a bentwood bail handle. This bucket is the taller of the two at 13 in to the top of the handle, and both of its grips are wood; the pail is lower at 7 in, with a handle that arcs over the top. See both, with our wood buckets, on the buckets and ladles page.
