properties are enhanced using just heat and steam. This chemical-free process
results in an environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing material that’s
significantly more durable and stable than conventional timber.
As well as offering these practical benefits, Thermory’s thermal modification treatment also creates dynamic visual effects, with the wood taking on an appealing darker brown shade. The intensity of the color depends on the wood type and the duration and temperature of the modification process.
The highest temperature of medium thermal modification is 374 °F and intense
modification 410 °F. This gives you the opportunity to choose between lighter and darker materials to suit your desired color palette.
Thermally modified timber is suitable for interior and exterior use in both homes and public spaces.
