Hi Tucker, the glass absolutely has an effect on the heat retention but that's always considered. We would never sell a sauna combination that we don't expect to reach 180-194°f in your climate zone.
Hi Tucker! The EE6G should reach 190°f at the top of the sauna. Harvia has a hard 194°f limit in North America. It’s hard to predict temps at different places in the sauna but it will be better with the upper bench. If you REALLY like it hot, consider the EE8G with a HUUM heater which can be set to higher temps (230°f).
How hot will the SaunaLife EE8G Upper Bench Barrel Sauna with Havia 8kw? I can not find a temperature on the site. If we move forward with the full front window option have you all seen that the window doesn’t hold heat as well as wood?
This stove exceeded our expectations! I was worried that it wouldn't get our steam room hot enough and wow was I wrong! The heat is incredible and I even prefer the feel compared to other top local stoves.

Where do I start?! I would give Ben and Sauna Marketplace 10 stars if I could. I started out on the journey of researching saunas early this year and asked dozens and dozens of questions. Ben was extraordinary with his patience and detailed responses. During the process, someone told me about the Saunum heater which was just released in the states this year. This added another layer of questions as the Saunum heater is simply too big for the smaller barrels. I think Ben and I had a string of 50 emails back and forth before I made the purchase.
Once I made the decision to buy a Thermory 61 with a Saunum 7 heater, delivery was just as advertised. The customer service didn’t end there though…
Once the barrel was built, it was time to install and connect the heater. Turns out that the electricians that I hired messed up the wiring from the breaker box to the sauna and for a period of time, the heater would just not heat correctly. Before we discovered the electrician’s rookie mistake, Ben and his tech team stayed involved and helped me through the trouble shooting process. They were very patient and responsive.
