Everything is Elevated, Starting With Your Feet
The biggest criticism about barrel saunas is they don't get your feet high enough. Ideally, you want the entire body elevated on an upper bench where sauna conditions are improved by physics.
Other barrel sauna companies have tried to achieve this by putting an upper bench on the back wall. The problem, then, is the heater has to go off to the side along the front wall and necessarily rises along with the benches, negating the effect.
