Spray or concentrate
The 32 fl oz spray bottle is premixed and ready to use, the easy one to keep in the changing room or by the sauna door. The 1 gal jug is a concentrate that makes up to 4 gallons once mixed with water, which is the better buy for a large sauna or for more than one.
What it does
ProSaunas formulated this cleaner for wood saunas. It cuts through tough dirt, grease and grime that work their way into the grain, and leaves the boards with their luster back and the room smelling clean and fresh. That matters in a room you heat to bathing temperature, where anything left on the wood is what you smell next session.
Why a sauna cleaner rather than a household one
Sauna wood is bare or lightly finished, and it is the surface you sit on. ProSaunas’s own warranty excludes damage caused by harsh chemicals, which is a good reason to keep general household cleaners out of the hot room and use one made for the job.
When the wood is clean, ProSaunas makes an odorless paraffin oil and a water-based wax to protect it. All three are on the sauna wood care page.
