Harvia Legend Sauna Thermometer | Thermo-Aspen, Celsius Dial

Harvia’s Legend accessories share one look, black steel and rivets set against heat-treated aspen, and the thermometer carries it onto the wall. It is a 9.1 in tall aspen plaque with a black steel strip and a red needle. The markings are Celsius: read the cut-out 40, 60 and 80 as 104, 140 and 176°F. The rivets in between mark the halfway steps, so the scale runs from about 86°F at the bottom to 194°F at the top. It weighs 0.9 lb.

    Reading it in Fahrenheit

The dial is marked in Celsius only, with numbers cut through the steel strip and rivets between them. Here is what each mark means in Fahrenheit:

    • Bottom rivet: about 86°F
    • 40: 104°F
    • Next rivet: about 122°F
    • 60: 140°F
    • Next rivet: about 158°F
    • 80: 176°F
    • Top rivet: about 194°F

Most home saunas run in the upper half of that scale, so the 60 and the 80 are the marks you will watch. If you would rather read Fahrenheit without converting, the SaunaLife thermometer is marked 70 to 240°F.

Built like the rest of the Legend family

The plaque is heat-treated aspen in a rich brown, finished with black steel details and a red needle, and it hangs on the wall. It shares its rivets and its wood with the Legend bucket and ladle, and with Harvia’s riveted Legend wood-burning stoves, so a Legend sauna can match down to the thermometer.
