Auroom saunas, built in Vana-Kastre, Estonia
Your Auroom sauna, built right.
Auroom makes indoor sauna kits and outdoor cabins in Estonia, using wood from Thermory. Finding yours starts with how you want to use it, the space you have, and the heat you enjoy. We’ve built these saunas and visited the factory. We’ll help you choose the room, match the heater, and work through the details before you order.

Which Auroom fits your space?
Pick where it goes and who will use it. Add the space you have if you know it. We show every model and size that fits, its price, and the heaters Auroom lists for that room.
We match the outside size either way round. Leave room around it for the door, wiring and air; each manual gives its clearances.

The details that made us such fans
Our friends at Auroom welcomed us to their factory in Vana-Kastre in September 2026. We had already built their saunas. Seeing the work before a kit reaches your driveway gave us even more respect for them.
- Wood chosen like an artist chooses colorsWe watched boards selected for a cohesive wall, with pleasing variation and balance throughout the sauna. You feel the care when you sit inside it.
- A flashlight, before the packing crateWe saw saunas assembled and inspected with a flashlight for imperfections before being repacked for shipping to the US. Small details matter to the people building your sauna.
- Thermory wood, worked with careAuroom is part of Thermory Group and uses Thermory wood. The board selection, finishing and fit are what turn good material into a room you want to spend time in.
- Experience you can use at homeWe’ve built Miras and rebuilt Miras that weren’t assembled right the first time. You get our walkthroughs and help planning the details, so you know how to get yours right from the start.

Our photo, Vana-KastreWe know these saunas as well as anyone outside Estonia. For sauna kits readily available in the US, we don’t think you’ll find better than Auroom. That is our opinion from building them, helping owners and seeing the factory firsthand.

What the walls are made of
The indoor kits are framed, insulated wall elements with a foil radiant barrier on the hot side and finished wood on the faces, the same elements we saw stacked at the factory. They sit on an aluminum base frame that keeps the wood off the floor.
Outdoors, the Garda, Terra, Natura and Aura are built from cross-laminated timber, solid engineered wood panels, and the Garda, Natura and Arti carry an EPDM rubber roof. Inside most models is Thermory’s Thermo-Aspen; outside, thermo-spruce or thermo-pine.

Outside size is width by depth in inches. Prices are the sauna room before the heater; freight is calculated at checkout. Heater sizes come from Auroom’s heater chart for the heaters we carry; the heater’s own manual has the final word on your room.
What it takes to get an Auroom running
A sauna is a small construction project. Here is all of it, so nothing surprises you on delivery day.
- The roomThe model and size that fit your space and the people who will use it.
- The heaterFrom Auroom’s chart for that room, checked against the heater’s manual. Glass counts as extra room.
- The powerUsually a dedicated 240V circuit, run by a licensed electrician. The heater’s manual sets the breaker.
- The baseA level floor indoors. Outdoors, a level base, in before the ground freezes.
- The deliveryFreight in crates, calculated at checkout. Check every crate before you sign. The assembled cabins come on a flatbed.
We walk you through every one of these on a free call, and we’re still here after the crate is gone.
Auroom questions, answered
Does an Auroom sauna come with a heater?
No. Every Auroom price on this page is the sauna room: the walls, benches, door, lighting and Auroom’s accessory kit. You choose the heater separately, and most listings let you add a heater right on the product page. Auroom publishes a chart of the heaters it approves for each model and size; the finder above shows the ones we carry for the room you pick.
What size heater does my Auroom need?
Start with Auroom’s chart for your model and size, then check it against the heater’s own manual. Glass counts as extra room: HUUM’s DROP manual adds 3.3 cubic feet for every square foot of glass, and Harvia’s Spirit manual adds 3.94. That is why a glass front often takes a bigger heater. In Auroom’s chart, a Libera Glass 59 × 71 takes an 8 kW Harvia where the wood-front Libera of the same size takes a 6 kW.
Can I put a Saunum heater in an Auroom?
Yes. Auroom’s chart lists the Saunum Air for most of its indoor rooms and the Mira S, and the Air Perfect or Air L for the bigger rooms and cabins. See every Saunum heater with the room size it is rated for.
What electrical does an Auroom sauna need?
The heater sets it. Most need a dedicated 240V circuit run by a licensed electrician. As one example, HUUM’s DROP 7.5 kW draws about 31 amps and its manual calls for a 40 amp two-pole breaker and #8 copper wire. Check the manual for the exact heater you choose before your electrician quotes the job.
How long does an Auroom take to put together?
Auroom rates the Cala and Baia indoor kits at about 4 to 6 hours with two people, and the 1-person Cala Glass Mini at 3 to 4. The outdoor Mira L is a bigger job; our build took about two full days. Auroom’s Mira L manual specifies 2–4 professional carpenters and an electrician. The Garda, Arti, Terra and Natura arrive assembled.
Where are Auroom saunas made?
At Auroom’s factory in Vana-Kastre, Estonia. Auroom is part of Thermory Group, which makes the thermally modified wood inside most of its rooms. Auroom has three production units in Estonia and Latvia, capacity for more than 4,500 saunas a year, and more than 20 years of building saunas. We toured the Vana-Kastre factory in September 2026.
Glass front or wood front?
A glass front opens up the room and shows off the benches, and it fits a bathroom or a finished basement well. A wood front with a glass door keeps the room cozier and usually lets a smaller heater do the job. The Cala, Baia and Libera come both ways.
How does an Auroom ship?
Auroom’s most popular models and spare parts are stocked in the Chicago area and ship from there as freight in crates; others, like the Libera and Familia, are built to order in Estonia, so ask us for current timing. Freight is calculated at checkout from your address. When it arrives, check every crate and note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. It does not happen often, but it makes a fix much faster. The Garda arrives finished at about 4,000 lb on a flatbed, so plan how it will be lifted into place.
What warranty comes with an Auroom?
Two years from delivery for home use, under Auroom’s warranty terms, and no more than three years from the date it was made. Commercial use needs Auroom’s written OK. The heater and controls carry their own maker’s warranty. Read Auroom’s warranty. If anything comes up, we handle it with Auroom for you as a preferred Auroom partner, and spare parts are stocked in the Chicago area.
Can I get an Auroom that isn’t listed here?
Often, yes. Auroom builds more than we list, including the Nativa and Emma indoor kits, and its kits can be made to custom sizes in Europe if you have time to wait. Send us your space and we’ll get you a quote. And if Auroom doesn’t make the right sauna for you, we’ll tell you who does.
What comes in the box?
It depends on the model, and each product page lists its own. A Mira S, for example, arrives with pre-assembled wall elements, a backrest with LED lighting, a tempered glass door, a heater guard, a floor grid and Auroom’s accessory kit: bucket, ladle, thermometer, hygrometer, sand timer, aroma set, sauna hat and pillow. The heater is separate.
Get your Auroom right the first time.
A lower price can be tempting. Having to change the heater or rethink the installation later can cost more than you saved. We help you work through those details before you order, so you can feel good about the sauna you choose.
- A room that works for you. Space to sit or stretch out, room to assemble it, and a plan for getting it into place.
- The right heater and everything it needs. The heater, controls and stones checked together, with the drawings your electrician needs.
- Someone to call after delivery. Help with assembly questions, replacement parts, and working things out with Auroom if something needs attention.
