Aspen
Aspen is a light wood without knots providing the ‘cleanest’ look possible. Smooth texture with a beautiful light tone, naturally resistant to resin secretion and splintering.
Alder
Alder has natural water-wicking properties, with a warmer caramel tone. Along with Aspen, these are the most popular sauna woods used in Finland. Durable and naturally water-repellent.
Thermally Modified Aspen
This natural Aspen wood has undergone a ‘Thermal Modification’ process that naturally changes the wood at a cellular level to be more durable and stable. The process also darkens the Aspen for a rich, sophisticated appearance.
