PROSAUNAS SaunaComfort Cushion Cleaning Guide
PROSAUNAS SaunaComfort Cushion Cleaning Guide
Pick your size
Measure the depth and length of the bench you want to pad, then pick the closest size that fits on it:
- 18 x 22 in
- 18 x 33 in
- 18 x 44 in
- 18 x 55 in
- 18 x 66 in
- 20 x 24 in
All are 2.5 in thick. Own a Finnmark FD sauna? Finnmark makes cushions cut to each model, like the FD-5 cushion.
What it’s made of
A coated performance fabric cover over polyurethane foam. PROSAUNAS describes the fabric as non-toxic and stain-resistant, with “the look and texture of linen but with much greater durability and stain resistance”.
How to clean it
From the cleaning guide for the cushion’s coated fabric (in the Attachments tab):
- Clean dirt, dust and grime with mild soap and water, rinse with fresh water, and dry it with a clean cloth.
- Treat stains right away.
- To disinfect, use only a product on the guide’s list, which includes isopropyl alcohol, bleach and Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
Take the cushion out of the sauna to clean it, so cleaner doesn’t end up on the bench wood.
Warranty
PROSAUNAS covers its products against defects in workmanship for two years in residential use, from delivery to the original buyer. Commercial use voids it, and normal wear is not covered. The full warranty is in the Attachments tab.
Questions we get
Is a cushion worth it over a towel?
A cushion adds 2.5 in of padding and wipes clean instead of going in the wash. A towel or seat cover is lighter and goes in the washing machine. In a sauna that many different people use, a washable towel per person is the easier routine.
What is it made of, and is it safe in the heat?
Coated performance fabric over polyurethane foam. PROSAUNAS describes the fabric as non-toxic. It doesn’t publish emissions test results, and we don’t have a test report to show you.
Can I put it in the washing machine?
The cleaning guide covers wiping it down, not machine washing. Use mild soap and water, rinse, and dry it with a clean cloth.
Does the warranty cover commercial use?
No. The PROSAUNAS warranty covers residential use, and commercial use voids it.
