How It Fits

How This Product Fits the System

What it is used for

An electric sauna heater that heats the sauna room and stone mass for traditional löyly. Choose the output from adjusted room volume, then match the exact voltage, phase, circuit, controls, stones, clearances, and ventilation.

What to plan

  • Size from adjusted sauna volume, including the effect of glass, masonry, and other uninsulated surfaces; do not size from floor area alone.
  • Match the selected model's power or fuel, voltage, phase, circuit, wire, control, stone, and venting requirements before ordering.
  • Treat clearances, ceiling reference planes, ventilation, guarding, floor protection, and service access as one room-layout decision.
  • Follow the current installation manual and use a qualified installer.

Homecraft Revive Electric Sauna Heater | 200 lb Rock Tower, 6, 7.5 and 9 kW

(2 customer reviews)

Water hits the stones and the room answers. That is the whole argument for the Revive: a 36-inch stainless tower holding 200 lbs of rock, with the heating elements set back inside an air chamber so the steam comes off hot stone instead of hot metal. Softer heat, and a lot more of it per ladle than a heater with a shallow basket. Three outputs from 6 to 9 kW, built in Surrey, British Columbia, CSA and UL certified with ETL listing for permanent installation. It is the heater we point wellness buyers to when they have been comparing it against a HUUM.

Build A Quote:

Homecraft igneous rock, 35 lbs per box. This heater needs 7 boxes (245 lbs), the quantity Homecraft and Thermory supply for it. Fill until the element protector is fully covered, stacking loose with gaps for airflow, and keep any spare for the 12-month rock change. Ships from New York.

You can tell the difference on the first ladle. A heater with a shallow rock tray gives you a sharp hiss and a wave that stings, then it is gone. The Revive holds 200 lbs of stone in a tall tower, so the water finds mass instead of metal, and the löyly comes back softer, wetter and longer.

Homecraft’s stated reason for the design is element life. The heating rods sit inside a protective air-flow chamber rather than in the splash zone.

The thing nobody tells you about rock

Rock quantity is not a detail, it is the heater’s performance. The Revive takes 7 boxes at 35 lbs each. Six boxes leaves the tops of the elements exposed, and we have watched that play out on a real install. Order seven.

Stack it loose and high, never tight and low. Big stones on the bottom, smaller on top, gaps everywhere so air can climb through the chamber. Packed too tight, the heat has nowhere to go and the high limit switch trips. Rinse them before the first fire, and pull the cracked ones once a year.

Which output fits your room

Measure length by width by ceiling height. These ranges come from the Revive install manual. If the room has a glass door, tile, or an uninsulated wall, size up.

Model Output Room volume
Revive 6 kW 6,000 W 250 to 300 cu ft (7.1 to 300 cu ft)
Revive 7.5 kW 7,500 W 300 to 370 cu ft (8.5 to 371 cu ft)
Revive 9 kW 9,000 W 360 to 450 cu ft (10.2 to 448 cu ft)

Supply conductors need to be 14 AWG or larger rated for at least 105 C. Skip the GFCI breaker unless your code calls for one. A certified electrician has to make the connection or the warranty is void.

What ships with it, and what does not

  • Heater: 14 x 14 x 36 inches, stainless throughout, high-limit reset switch built in.
  • Controls, sold separately: a TKE2-2 contactor box (indoor or weatherproof outdoor) plus a touchpad. The touchpad mounts in a two-gang box outside the room and runs a 60 minute cycle, adjustable 25 to 90 C.
  • Rock, sold separately: 7 boxes. Add it here so it ships together.
  • Clearances: 3.5 inches to combustibles, 42 inches from the top of the heater to the ceiling. Secure it to the floor and the back wall with the supplied brackets, and fit the heater guard.
  • Temperature sensor: mounts in line with or directly above the heater, 3 to 4 inches down from the ceiling. Put it anywhere else and you will trip the high limit.

Where yours actually ships from

We source this line through a New York warehouse whenever the size you want is on the floor there, which covers the fastest-moving models. Anything not in stock is built to order in Surrey and crosses as Canadian origin under USMCA, so there is no import duty either way, just a longer window. We read all three supply feeds every morning, so ask before you book an electrician and we will tell you what is really on the floor today.

Wi-Fi, now that it exists

Homecraft spent most of 2025 testing a Wi-Fi touchpad and we spent most of 2025 telling customers it was not ready. It is now, and it is stocked in North America. Phone control for start, stop and temperature, plus calendar scheduling so the room is at temperature when your session starts rather than forty minutes after.

Installation

Certification and warranty

CSA and UL certified, ETL listed for permanent installation, splash-proof construction with the conducting parts protected against water. Two year manufacturer warranty when installed and used to the manual. Homecraft’s manuals treat heating elements as a consumable and exclude them, so ask us to get element coverage confirmed in writing on your order rather than assuming it. Improper stones and non-certified electrical work void the cover.

Not sure between this and a HUUM?

It is the most common question we get on this heater, and the honest answer depends on how you bathe. Send us your room size, ceiling height, wall build and panel capacity, and we will tell you which one we would put in that room. Call (844) 565-1113.

  1. Verified owner Sarah-Jane Chilton (verified owner)

    CABritish Columbia, Canada

This sauna heater is a real GameChanger. The one I had before was not getting my barrel sauna nearly hot enough. After having installed this one I feel like I have a true sauna now. Could not be any happier! Highly recommend!

  2. Al

The Revive is performing perfectly. We had wanted a mechanical control, but the digital unit was the only one available – that was our only disappointment.
We were impressed by the quality of your service – the best price, the fastest delivery … and excellent customer support every step of the way. Thank you.

PLAN THE WHOLE SAUNA

The room and heater still have to work as one system.

Start with the room dimensions, then account for glass, masonry, insulation, ceiling height, required clearances, and available electrical service. That is how we move from a product that looks right to a sauna that heats evenly and comfortably.
