PROSAUNAS Thermo-Aspen 1X2 SI Inside Corner Trim – Sauna Wood

Inside corners are where a finish job either looks done or looks almost done. The thermo-aspen SI inside corner trim, 0.55″ thick by 1.18″ wide, fits into the 90-degree seam where two cladded walls meet and gives you a clean, furniture-quality line instead of a butt joint. The thermal modification means the golden-brown color runs all the way through, so a cross-cut end won’t show pale raw wood. No resin, no splinters. Match it to your thermo-aspen walls and benches and the room reads as one continuous material. Sold by the linear foot.

One trim piece. Four inside corners in a typical sauna. The difference between a finished build and a beautiful one.

The PROSAUNAS Thermo-Aspen 1×2 SI Inside Corner Trim sits into the 90-degree joint where two cladded walls meet. At 0.55″ thick and 1.18″ wide, it’s sized to cover the raw tongue-and-groove edges at a standard inside corner without being chunky. Available in 1 ft and 8 ft lengths.

Why Thermo-Aspen

Inside corners collect moisture. It’s where the steam and the condensation pool between sessions, and untreated wood at a corner joint tends to swell and open over time. Thermal modification (heat and steam, no chemicals ever) changes the aspen at a cellular level so it simply can’t absorb moisture in the same way. The corner stays tight. The color, a warm golden-brown, runs all the way through the wood so cut ends match the face and nothing reads as a patched-in afterthought.

Worth knowing: this trim covers the joint, but it doesn’t replace good cladding installation at the corner. If your wall boards aren’t seated solidly at the edge, the trim can telegraph the unevenness. Take the time to get the corner cladding right before installing this piece.

PLAN THE WHOLE SAUNA

The room and heater still have to work as one system.

Start with the room dimensions, then account for glass, masonry, insulation, ceiling height, required clearances, and available electrical service. That is how we move from a product that looks right to a sauna that heats evenly and comfortably.
