The ProSaunas Aspen 1×2 UK Door Trim is cut to close the cladding reveal at a sauna door opening: 12mm thick (0.47″) and 42mm wide (1.65″), with the UK profile that sits flat against the face of the cladding and covers the raw edge at the door jamb. It’s a functional piece but it’s the one that makes the door opening look intentional rather than abandoned. Milled in Estonia from natural aspen: pale, smooth, consistent in color from piece to piece. Sold by the linear foot in 1 and 10 ft lengths.

Why Aspen

Matching door trim to wall cladding in the same species is the detail that makes a sauna room look like a cabinet rather than a construction project. Natural aspen’s light tone and smooth texture match our STS4, Grace, and Groove-S cladding profiles without hunting for a stain to blend them. The wood stays cool at the door frame, won’t bleed resin near the glass seal, and can be painted or left natural. Practical honest note: at 12mm thick, this is a trim piece. Don’t use it as a jamb extension or a structural surround element. It’s designed to sit in front of the cladding edge, not to replace framing.
