The ProSaunas Aspen 1×1 S4SEE is a small-square moulding: 0.83 in x 0.83 in (0.83″ x 0.83″), surfaced smooth on all four sides, edges eased. It’s the trim piece that closes seams, covers reveal gaps, and gives a clad room its finished quality. At 0.83 in it’s the lighter, more delicate of our two aspen moulding sizes (the 2×2 is the heavier option). Milled in Estonia from the same straight-grained aspen as our cladding and bench boards, so the color matches cleanly. Sold by the linear foot in 1 and 10 ft lengths.
Why Aspen
Aspen moulding matched to aspen cladding reads as one continuous material, which is the point. The pale, consistent color of natural aspen means the moulding blends into the wall rather than drawing attention to the joint it’s covering. No resin, no splinters, stays cool. One thing worth knowing: natural aspen is a soft wood, and a 0.83 in square moulding can dent if something hard knocks it square on. It’s a finishing piece in a low-traffic location, so this rarely matters in practice, but it’s worth mentioning.
