The Best Sauna Woods to Set The Scene
Auroom saunas are built using the highest quality materials. It helps that their parent company, Thermory, is the global leader in sustainable wood modification and sauna woods. All woods are also available on Sauna Marketplace for custom builds or to add matching accent surfaces to your space.
Aspen
Aspen is a light wood without knots providing the 'cleanest' look possible.
Alder
Alder has natural water-wicking properties, with a warmer caramel tone. Along with Aspen, these are the most popular sauna woods used in Finland.
Thermally Modified Aspen
This natural Aspen wood has undergone a 'Thermal Modification' process that naturally changes the wood at a cellular level to be more durable and stable. The process also darkens the Aspen.

Sizes, benches, doors and glass are from Auroom's drawings and manuals. Plans are traced from each sauna's 3D model, or drawn from Auroom's drawings where there is no model, at one scale with doors drawn open. Longest bench is the longest straight run of bench, through the corner on L-shaped benches; × 2 when two benches run that long. Stock is by size and wood: blue in US stock, red not, with the date a shipment lands when one is due. Sauna prices have no heater; each page prices its own heater packages. Not sure? Book a Ben and bring a photo of the spot.
