GL6 layout & installation

A room set back under its own roof

The bronze glass front and the glass side door stand 14.6 in inside the roof line, so the porch wraps the front and the door side under recessed eave lighting. Inside, a 23.6 in contoured upper bench runs the full width with a 12.2 in lower step and a five-board backrest. The heater stands on the left wall between the lower step and the glass.

The model follows the installation manual Rev. 3.0 and the dimension sheet Rev. 1.0 attached below. The Black package is SaunaShield paint applied on site to the outside: walls, porch ceiling and deck, as the GL6B renders show. The room stays natural.

Planning the assembly

Your sauna arrives as a kit for assembly on site. You can assemble it yourself or hire a local contractor. Review the manual and tools list first, and plan for a level base and help lifting the larger pieces.

    The natural wood kit comes without exterior paint. Each included can holds 0.71 gallon. Painting tools and labor are separate, and the interior wood stays natural.

    Built for gatherings, the SaunaLife GL6 is a six-person outdoor sauna kit with 1.57″-thick thermally modified Nordic spruce walls. Its wrap-around porch with recessed LED eaves and bronze-tinted front glass and side door bring natural light and a stylish welcome. Inside, two tiers of satin-smooth benches follow your body’s contours while indirect LED lighting sets a relaxing mood. Delivered as a complete DIY kit with pre-cut boards and hardware, the GL6 assembles in about two days and is designed for regular sauna use.

    What is included, and when do I paint?

    Choose the black package for your sauna kit and PROSAUNAS SaunaShield exterior paint. You or your installer apply the finish during assembly; the sauna arrives unpainted. The natural wood kit comes without exterior paint.

    Use SaunaShield on exterior wood only. Leave the interior, benches and backrests unpainted. Follow your model’s assembly instructions and the painting guide, including at least two coats and drying before final assembly. You’ll need your own brushes or roller.

    SaunaLife GL6 Outdoor Sauna Kit

    The SaunaLife GL6 is the larger model in the Garden Luxury series, accommodating up to six bathers. Its 1.57”-thick, thermally treated spruce walls and wrap-around porch give the sauna the look and feel of a designer garden room. Bronze-tinted windows across the front and a matching glass side door flood the sauna with natural light and provide panoramic views of your backyard.

    Inside, two tiers of ergonomic thermo-hardwood benches are extra thick and knot-free, providing comfortable seating for the whole family. Recessed LED lighting under the eaves lights the porch, while indirect interior LEDs create a soft ambient glow. All lighting is controlled via a Wi Fi app or handheld remote. With its modern black trim, integrated metal flashing and EPS insulation, the GL6 is built to withstand any weather.

    Like all SaunaLife kits, the GL6 arrives with pre‭cut wall boards, benches, backrests, roof and porch boards, EPS insulation, ventilation and drainage systems, black fascia boards, metal flashing, fasteners and a self‑adhesive roof membrane. Two people can assemble the sauna in about two days.

    SaunaLife covers the sauna room or kit for 5 years from delivery to the original retail purchaser for residential use, subject to its limited warranty terms.
