How It Fits

How This Product Fits the System

What it is used for

An electric sauna heater that heats the sauna room and stone mass for traditional löyly. Choose the output from adjusted room volume, then match the exact voltage, phase, circuit, controls, stones, clearances, and ventilation.

What to plan

  • Size from adjusted sauna volume, including the effect of glass, masonry, and other uninsulated surfaces; do not size from floor area alone.
  • Match the selected model's power or fuel, voltage, phase, circuit, wire, control, stone, and venting requirements before ordering.
  • Treat clearances, ceiling reference planes, ventilation, guarding, floor protection, and service access as one room-layout decision.
  • Follow the current installation manual and use a qualified installer.

No separate sellable companion product is asserted for this listing. Match any installation parts from the exact model manual rather than from brand alone.

Homecraft Revive Slim Electric Sauna Heater | 8-Inch Deep, 4, 5 and 6 kW

Most small saunas do not fail on power. They fail on the eight inches of wall you do not have. The Revive Slim is 8 inches deep and 13.5 inches wide, and with the Homecraft wall baffle behind it the clearance to combustibles drops from 3.5 inches to 1. That is the difference between a bench you can actually sit on and a room you gave up on. Three outputs from 4 to 6 kW for rooms of 100 to 325 cubic feet, stainless throughout, built in Surrey, British Columbia, CSA and UL certified.

Homecraft igneous rock, 35 lbs per box. This heater needs 4 boxes (140 lbs), the quantity Homecraft and Thermory supply for it. Fill until the element protector is fully covered, stacking loose with gaps for airflow, and keep any spare for the 12-month rock change. Ships from New York.

If you have measured your room three times and keep landing a couple of inches short, this is the heater to look at. The Slim is a 36 inch tower on an 8 inch footprint, and it was designed for exactly the corner you are trying to work with: a basement nook, a converted closet, a small spa room, or an infrared cabin you are adding real stones to.

Will it fit?

The heater is 13.5 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 36 inches tall. It wants 3.5 inches of clearance to anything combustible and 42 inches from the top of the heater to the ceiling.

Here is the part worth knowing before you redraw your bench: the Homecraft wall baffle takes that 3.5 inches down to 1 inch. It is a stainless shield that mounts between the heater and the wall, it costs less than moving a stud, and on a small room it usually buys back a whole seat. If your layout is tight, add it.

Which size do I need?

Multiply length by width by ceiling height and use cubic feet, not floor area. These ranges are from the Revive Slim install manual.

ModelOutputRoom volume
Revive Slim 4 kW4,000 W100 to 150 cu ft
Revive Slim 5 kW5,000 W100 to 250 cu ft
Revive Slim 6 kW6,000 W200 to 325 cu ft

Glass, tile or stone in the room will slow the warm-up even when the insulation is good. If you are near the top of a range, take the next size up.

What does my electrician need to know?

ModelAmps at 240VBreakerWire
4 kW16.7 A30 A#10
5 kW20.8 A30 A#10
6 kW25.0 A40 A#8

Supply conductors are 14 AWG or larger rated to at least 90 C. No GFCI breaker unless your local code requires it. No receptacles inside the sauna room. The connection has to be made by a certified electrician, which is a warranty condition and not just advice.

What else do I have to buy?

Two things, and neither is in the heater carton. Nobody enjoys finding this out on install day.

  • A contactor box and a touchpad. The TKE2-2 box holds the transformer and contactor and hides in the wall (build an access panel). The touchpad mounts outside the sauna in a two-gang box. Indoor and weatherproof outdoor versions of the box, and a Wi-Fi touchpad if you want to start the room from your phone.
  • Rock. 4 boxes at 35 lbs. Stack it loose with gaps rather than packed tight, big stones first, until the element protector is covered.

Both are options on this page so they arrive together.

Where yours actually ships from

We source this line through a New York warehouse whenever the size you want is on the floor there, which covers the fastest-moving models. Anything not in stock is built to order in Surrey and crosses as Canadian origin under USMCA, so there is no import duty either way, just a longer window. We read all three supply feeds every morning, so ask before you book an electrician and we will tell you what is really on the floor today.

What it is made of, and how long it is covered

Stainless steel throughout, built by Homecraft in Surrey, British Columbia, where they have been making sauna heaters for over three decades. CSA and UL certified, and Homecraft makes a point of that one: their argument is that an approved heater is what keeps a homeowner’s insurance intact if anything ever goes wrong. Two year manufacturer warranty when installed and run to the manual. Heating elements are treated as a consumable and the manuals exclude them, so ask us to confirm element coverage in writing on your order.

Send us your room

Dimensions, ceiling height, what the walls are made of, and a photo of your panel. We will tell you which output to buy, whether you need the baffle, and what to hand your electrician. First sauna? That is the call we take most, and there are no dumb questions on it. (844) 565-1113.

Secure Mounting

No sauna heater is better secured to the floor and wall than a Homecraft Revive Slim. This ensures safety but also improves longevity of the heating elements and rocks, by keeping the heater position locked.

Simple Wiring

Homecraft has outputs for the temperature sensor, and lights from the controller instead of the relay box.  That makes installation much faster easier.

TKE-2 Controller

The TKE2-2 Homecraft Sauna control and contactor box are good for every 240V Homecraft heater from 4 kW to 10 kW.

Our Digital Control is an electronic (24v) low voltage, Class 2 control that gives a significant advance in sauna accuracy, convenience, and safety.

The functionality of the touchpad is extremely simple: On/OFF – Time Control adjustment (up to 60 minute sessions) and Temperature control (up to 90C or 194F). Time and temperature can be easily adjusted by holding the buttons down.

We believe that sauna use is about disengaging from the busyness of life around us and reconnection oftentimes takes intentionality which is why we have designed our sauna control to function in a simple yet purposeful way.

Built to CSA & UL standards

PLAN THE WHOLE SAUNA

The room and heater still have to work as one system.

Start with the room dimensions, then account for glass, masonry, insulation, ceiling height, required clearances, and available electrical service. That is how we move from a product that looks right to a sauna that heats evenly and comfortably.
