    ProSaunas S-Shaped Sauna Backrest | Pine or Cedar, 15.5 x 20.5 in

Sauna walls are built to hold heat, not to lean on. Set this ProSaunas backrest on the bench, tip it against the wall and sit back into an S-shaped frame designed to fit and support your back: two curved rails with round dowels between them, 15.5 in wide and 20.5 in tall. Slip-resistant pads on both ends keep it where you put it. It is handmade and polished from knotless pine or knotless Canadian red cedar, and there is nothing to install, so it moves to whichever seat needs it.

    ProSaunas

    How it sits

The backrest stands on the bench on its two rails and leans back against the wall. The rails follow an S-curve, and the dowels that span them are what your back rests on. Slip-resistant pads cap both ends of each rail, so the bottom holds its place on the bench and the top meets the wall on a pad instead of bare wood. Nothing screws in. Slide it along the bench, turn it to face another wall or carry it out of the room between sessions.

ProSaunas makes it for any type of sauna: a traditional room, a barrel, a glass-front sauna or an infrared sauna.

    Size on the bench

One backrest is 15.5 in wide; two side by side take 31 in of bench. It stands 20.5 in tall, and the rails are 2.8 in deep.

    Pine or cedar

The same handmade, polished frame comes in pale knotless pine at 2.2 lb or in darker knotless Canadian red cedar at 1.6 lb. Choose the one that suits your benches.

    Pair it with

A backrest is for sitting up. If you like to lie down on the bench, the ProSaunas Ergo headrest lifts your head off the boards. Every backrest and headrest we carry is on the backrests and headrests page.
