On the stones, not on a shelf
Most sauna decorations end up on a shelf. The Saunaveijari goes where the action is: tuck it between the rocks on top of your heater, face up, and pour your löyly over it like any other stone. Hukka makes it from Carelian soapstone, the same stone behind its steam stones and aroma cups, and the stone is known for holding a lot of heat and standing up to a harsh environment.
Why a face
Finnish sauna culture has always had room for a little character. Hukka’s elves come from the same tradition of sauna elves and steam spirits, and the Saunaveijari is the cheerful cousin: Hukka calls it your cheerful sauna friend. It will not change how your heater performs. It will get a grin from whoever sits down next to it, and it gives guests something to watch while the water hits the stones.
Good company on the heater
If you like a bit of personality on the stones, the Hukka sauna elves are cut from the same soapstone and sit among the rocks the same way. For a soapstone piece that works the steam, the Höyrykivet steam stone holds water and sauna scent in four small chambers and releases it slowly.
