Set 8 or Set 3?
Both sets share the spruce bucket and the birch ladle. The difference is on the wall. Essentials Set 3 brings two round black dials, a thermometer and a hygrometer you can hang separately. Set 8 brings a single pine plaque with both dials in it, which keeps the whole kit in natural wood tones from bench to wall.
The bucket
Spruce staves, banded in wood, around a plastic tub that holds the water. The tub is the seal, so the wood is there for looks and grip. It measures 10.3 in across and 6.8 in tall and holds a gallon.
The ladle
Hand carved from birch, 12 in long, with a spoon-shaped cup that pours in a controlled stream instead of a splash, and a leather loop so it can hang up to dry between sessions.
The gauge
Knotless pine and glass that SaunaLife says is made to resist cracking, 9.8 in wide, 4.9 in tall and 1.2 in deep, with analog dials for temperature and humidity.
