Black accessories sink into a dark thermo-wood room and stand out sharply against pale aspen or spruce, so Set 5 works whichever look you are after.
The pieces
- Bucket: black aluminum, 1 gallon, 9.4 in across and 7.9 in tall.
- Ladle: a black cup on a 16.1 in bamboo handle that stays cool to the touch. Slide the handle through the holes near the bucket’s rim and it carries the bucket; lift it out and it pours.
- Thermometer: a round black dial, 4.7 in across, marked 70 to 240°F.
- Hygrometer: a matching round black dial, 4.7 in across, marked 0 to 100%.
Two dials, two jobs
The thermometer tells you how hot the air is. The hygrometer shows how much moisture the air holds, and it climbs after a ladle of water hits the stones, then drifts back down as the room dries out. Keep an eye on both and you can see what each pour does to the room.
Rather have the traditional wooden look? Essentials Set 3 pairs the same two black dials with a spruce bucket and a birch ladle.
