Where each piece goes
- Light bar: centered along the barrel ceiling, fixed with one screw at each end.
- Driver and power supply: outside the sauna in a waterproof electrical enclosure, protected from rain and snow, or inside the sauna at least 20 in from the heater and no more than 20 in off the floor.
- Remote: not rated for water or sauna heat. Keep it outside the hot room, or mount its holder no more than 3 ft off the floor and away from the heater, where the air stays at or below 131°F.
A 30 ft four-pin cable runs from the driver to the light bar, which leaves room to put the electronics where they belong.
Power
The system needs a 120 V AC outlet. SaunaLife’s manual has a certified electrician choose the outlet and box and do the wiring to national and local electrical code.
Control
The handheld RF remote switches the light on and off, dims it from 1 to 100%, and has a touch slider for color; a double click jumps straight to white. It works up to 98 ft from the driver. For phone control, the driver joins a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network through the Tuya Smart app on iOS or Android. The bar puts out 1,885 lumens at full brightness, so the dimmer earns its keep on late sessions.
