    Harvia LED Light Strip | 16.4 ft Warm White Sauna Lighting Kit

    The best light in a sauna is the kind you never look straight at. Harvia’s LED kit is 16.4 ft of warm white strip, 3000 to 3200 K, made to run under the benches or behind a backrest so it lights the wood and not your eyes. It runs at 12 volts from its own power supply, which takes household power, and you can cut the strip to length at the marked points. Harvia rates it for about 140°F where it is mounted, so it belongs low in the room.

    Planning the install

    Heat decides where this strip can go. Harvia’s limit is about 140°F at the height of the strip, and its drawing shows the strip under the bench, no higher than 63 in above the floor. In practice that means under a bench or behind a lower backrest rather than up near the ceiling. The power supply box mounts inside the sauna no more than 20 in above the floor, with its cable glands pointing down.

    It draws power through a NEMA 1-15P cord from a household outlet, and a separate switch turns the lights on and off. The cord and the switch are not included, and Harvia’s instructions call for a licensed electrician to make the connection. The instructions are written for the USA and Canada.

    The power supply goes inside an IP44-rated enclosure, as shown in the manual.

    Cutting to length

    Cut the strip at the marked points to fit your benches. Harvia’s instructions seal each cut end with silicone and an end cap, then fasten the strip in place with clips and screws.

    The kit runs on household power through its own power supply. If you want lights that switch from your heater’s control panel, compare the universal sauna LED light strip. Harvia covers this kit for 2 years in home use and 1 year in commercial use.
