Current SaunaLife TITAN SL1 US installation, ventilation, clearance, lighting, operation, maintenance, and safety instructions. Verified September 9, 2026.
A real sauna heater for sites where 240-volt service or firewood is the problem. TITAN is a Finnish-developed, 15,300 to 27,600 BTU propane heater with a 44 lb stone basket, sized for 140 to 350 cu ft uninsulated rooms or 140 to 425 cu ft insulated rooms. We have known the Finnish team behind this system for more than three years. After our recent Finland trip, its appeal was easy to understand: portable tent sauna is familiar there, and TITAN keeps the stones and löyly that make it sauna. Two stone boxes are required and sold separately.

TITAN gives you a proper stone heater where a new 240-volt circuit, chimney, or wood supply does not make sense. It runs on LP propane, adjusts from 15,300 to 27,600 BTU, and can move between a compliant cabin and either SaunaTrekker tent. SaunaLife says most correctly sized rooms heat in under 30 minutes. Weather, insulation, ventilation, and heat setting will change that time.
We have known the Finnish team behind this heater-and-tent system for more than three years. On our recent Finland trip, portable tent sauna was not treated like a camping novelty. It was another practical way to gather around heat and stones. SaunaLife describes TITAN as Finnish-developed and the family as handcrafted in Northern Europe.
The propane cylinder and stones are not included. Order two 33 lb boxes of SaunaLife 1 to 2 in rounded stones, but load no more than the 44 lb basket capacity. The Water Tank and Heat Shield are optional. TITAN includes one alder guard and accepts up to two more.

TITAN is for LP propane only. Keep the cylinder and every gas connection upright, secured, and outside the sauna or tent. The manual requires a continuously open lower intake with at least 54 sq in of free area and an upper outlet with at least 39 sq in. A cabin outlet must exhaust directly outdoors. The oxygen-depletion sensor, tip switch, and 60-minute timer do not replace ventilation or supervision. Never run the heater unattended or sleep while it is operating. Local rules may require a permit or qualified gas installer.
TITAN is approved for tent use only in SaunaTrekker and SaunaTrekker XL. The current general SaunaLife warranty document excludes heaters, so we are not advertising a heater warranty term that is not in writing. Call Ben² at (844) 565-1113 and we will check the room, clearances, ventilation, and complete package with you.

PLAN THE WHOLE SAUNA
Start with the room dimensions, then account for glass, masonry, insulation, ceiling height, required clearances, and available electrical service. That is how we move from a product that looks right to a sauna that heats evenly and comfortably.
See electric sauna heaters by output, stone mass, control style, and installation type. Size from adjusted room volume, not floor dimensions alone.
