A sauna that belongs in the room

The Kohler C1 is for the person who wants a real traditional sauna without making the room feel like an afterthought. Its clean-lined front, quiet material palette, and concealed 2700 K backrest light fit naturally into a home gym, primary suite, or dedicated wellness room. Inside, Scandinavian spruce surrounds solid obeche benches, backrests, headrests, and a stool. Choose a matching spruce exterior for warmth or Graphite Grey for a more architectural look.

Choose the room fit first

The spruce and Graphite Grey cabins differ slightly in exterior size. Use the finish-specific dimensions below when planning the room.

What changes the experience

The C1 is insulated with 2-1/8-inch mineral wool and fitted with a 5/16-inch tempered-glass entry door. Kohler’s Aerotherm ventilation moves air through the cabin while the included FERO heater and stones produce traditional heat and steam. An exterior digital control keeps the interior visually calm. Beech handles and matte aluminum hinges finish the cabin without drawing attention away from the wood and glass.

Plan the site before delivery

• Indoor installation only, on a flat, level site; without the optional floor kit, Kohler recommends an easy-clean, non-slip surface such as cement floor screed, brick, tile, or hardwood
• At least 2 inches of clearance from surrounding walls and an 8-foot minimum ceiling
• Floor structure rated for at least 58.9 lb./sq. ft.
• A matching grounded outlet for the factory-installed NEMA 6-30P plug on the two- and three-person cabins or NEMA 6-50P plug on the five-person cabin; the power cord exits the upper rear and is approximately 9 ft. 10 in. long
• Unblocked air intake and exhaust; alcove installations need the additional ventilation and electrical access shown in the installation guide
• No plumbing connection required
• At least two people for assembly

Have a licensed electrician confirm the outlet, protection, and local-code requirements against the model-specific installation manual before delivery.

Floor, roof, and assembly choices

Without the optional floor kit, Kohler recommends an easy-clean, non-slip surface such as cement floor screed, brick, tile, or hardwood; do not install over carpet or other absorbent material. With the floor kit, the C1 can be installed on any flat indoor surface. Either way, the site must be level and the floor structure must support at least 58.9 lb./sq. ft. The optional roof kit adds exterior roof panels when the top of a freestanding C1 will remain visible. It is cosmetic and does not make this indoor sauna suitable for outdoor use.

Curbside delivery is included. Optional white-glove delivery and assembly can bring the cabin into a prepared room and assemble it on site. Site electrical work, ventilation changes, and cosmetic or finish work are separate. Confirm access and site readiness before scheduling.

Warranty and model-specific documents

Kohler backs the C1 with a five-year limited residential sauna warranty. Accessories carry a one-year limited warranty, and commercial use is excluded.
