Dark thermo-alder is alder taken to a deeper stage of thermal modification, which pushes the color to a rich chocolate-brown with no stain or paint. It carries the same strengths as standard thermo-alder, strong resistance to rot, cupping, and shrinkage, plus the warm fragrance alder gives off in the heat, with a darker, more dramatic look for accent walls or a fully dark-toned interior. Milled into tongue-and-groove wall cladding and eased-edge bench stock.
