One shape, two woods
Both versions share the same profile: a rounded bowl, a handle that thickens and lifts toward the end, and a hole for the hanging cord. Birch is pale and smooth. Thermo-Alder is alder heat treated to a warm brown, and it comes out lighter in the hand, 0.4 lb against 0.7 lb for the birch.
Why hang it
A wooden ladle left standing in a bucket overnight stays wet at the bowl, and wet wood is what goes soft and gray. Hanging it lets air reach every side, and 4Living builds the loop in so there is nothing to drill and no string to improvise.
Match it to the bucket
The Thermo-Alder ladle pairs with 4Living’s Thermo-Alder buckets, and the birch ladle sits naturally beside spruce. The 4Living wooden sauna bucket comes in black pine, spruce or Thermo-Alder, and if your bucket is black, the black pine ladle is the exact match.
