Where it goes
ProSaunas designed the cup to sit anywhere in the sauna, the heater stones included. Read your heater’s manual before you put anything on the stones, though. Harvia’s Virta manual, for one, says to check that nothing is on top of the heater before you switch it on, and EOS warns in its manuals that sauna scents and oils can catch fire when they are not diluted correctly. If your manual rules out the stones, a shelf or a corner of the upper bench works too.
Two pieces
The granite cup is the body, and the stainless steel insert sits inside it and lifts out. The oil goes in the steel insert, not straight onto the stone. ProSaunas describes the granite as natural and durable.
What to put in it
Use a scent made for sauna use and follow its maker’s directions, which is Harvia’s rule for any fragrance in the sauna. The ones we carry are on the scents and oils page.
