It’s no secret that we specialize in traditional Finnish saunas.  We don’t even like to call infrared rooms saunas.  But Finnmark Designs won us all over – with good heat and a simple installation that doesn’t require an electrician.

Finnmark uses the same materials, insulation, and best-practices in their construction and design that we see in the high-end saunas we deliver from Europe.  For over 20 years, Finnmark Designs has taken research and methodologies from Finnish rock sauna heaters and applied it to infrared panels.  The original owner was a local sauna builder in a small wood shop in Tempere, Finland – known as the Sauna Capital.

The result is something we thought we’d never experience.  A truly invigorating, highly enjoyable experience with temperatures of 170°F that can be plugged into a standard outlet.

How do they achieve this? Finnmark starts with fully insulated and expertly constructed sauna rooms built to European standards. They use mineral wool insulation and a radiant barrier that you don’t see with cheaper kits.

The Finnmark FD-3 Full Spectrum 3 to 4 person infrared home sauna is the only infrared sauna that combines long-wave carbon 360 infrared panels with UL listed short-wave Spectrum Plus infrared panels.
