The Mini SoleJoy is a soapstone sphere and a cork dish. Hukka’s own description doubles as the instruction: “Whether you require a hot or cold treatment, you can put the stone ball into the freezer or oven to ensure the proper hot or cold temperature as you need it. Once the appropriate temperature is attained, simply place the ball onto the cork base then roll your foot over and around in a circular motion.”
The stone is the point. Hukka’s first bullet: “Soapstone accumulates both heat and cold for a long time which makes it an ideal material for massage tool.” Its other bullets for this part: mold resistant and completely hygienic; non-toxic and allergy free; does not absorb any liquids or smells.
Hukka frames the product in the reflexology tradition, “Foot reflexology is based on the idea that the foot contains reflex points, corresponding in miniature to all parts of the body”, and describes the effect as the combination of warmth and pressure.
Ball diameter is 1.77 in; the cork base is 4.13 in across and 0.79 in high; the set weighs 0.44 lb. Made from pure, natural Finnish Carelian soapstone.
