Why embed your heater?
Good sauna design aims to keep your feet near or above the top of the heater stones. Warm air rises, so a low foot bench can leave your feet in cooler air while your head gets hot. Plan the seat and footrest heights around the stone level to bring more of your body into the warmer part of the sauna.
Embedding a compatible heater into a raised bench or platform lets you build the layout around it, with the flange finishing the opening. The bench and footrest heights create the relationship between your feet and the stones; the flange alone does not change it. Follow the heater and flange manuals for the permitted embedding depth, clearances, ventilation, mounting and service access.
Start with the whole Cilindro installation
Bring your 6, 8 and 9 kW Cilindro Half through the bench with a finished stainless steel opening. The sleeve shields the surrounding timber from radiant heat while the heater remains supported by the floor. Warm-white LED lighting shines upward from inside the sleeve to highlight the stones.
HPCU2LUL is for compatible U.S. 6, 8 and 9 kW Cilindro Half heaters. The 10.5 kW Cilindro Half uses the larger accessory. Match the exact heater model before ordering.

Match the Cilindro to your sauna volume, glass surfaces, available power and control preference.
2. Plan the bench
Decide whether the heater stands beside the bench or passes through it. Keep access for installation and maintenance.
3. Finish the details
Choose a size-matched flange, railing and lighting. Each accessory is sold separately.
What the HPCU2LUL adds

Plan the opening before cutting the bench. The U.S. flange guide sets a maximum bench surface height of 27.5 in, maximum timber thickness of 1.9 in, and minimum 0.4 in gap between the sleeve and timber. Use the installation drawing for the opening and check the heater’s sensor placement and clearances.

Which Cilindro does it fit?
HPCU2LUL is for compatible U.S. 6, 8 and 9 kW Cilindro Half heaters. The 10.5 kW Cilindro Half uses the larger accessory. Match the exact heater model before ordering.
Is the heater included?
No. This listing is for the HPCU2LUL LED embedding flange. Heater, control, stones, bench timber and safety railing are separate.
Can I see it installed?
Yes. Open the 3D viewer, rotate the assembly and try the bench and raised-platform views. The bench-height slider and cutaway show how the installation fits together. The visualization is for planning; use the manuals for construction.
Do I need a flange and a railing?
They serve different jobs. An embedding flange finishes and shields a bench opening; a railing creates a wood boundary around the heater. The 3D railing bench views include a separate flange to show that combination.
What should I plan before installation?
Plan the opening before cutting the bench. How does the lighting work?
The warm-white LEDs face up from the lower inner sleeve. The power supply and cable route must follow the installation guide. A licensed electrician must make the electrical connection.
