    Thermo-Spruce Sauna Wall and Ceiling Wood | T&G or STP | ProSaunas

    Thermally modified spruce is a popular European sauna wood known for sustainability, dark rustic charm, and characteristic rich Amber.  We recommend thermo-spruce as a more affordable, better performing alternative to Western Red Cedar that’s more typical in authentic Finnish saunas outside of America.  This wood has been thermally modified using only heat and steam for better rot resistance and performance.  The resulting wood has been altered at a cellular level and no longer expands or contracts so your sauna is sure to perform better for longer.

    We source European Thermo-Spruce cladding from Thermory and ProSaunas.  Coverage is approximately 3.1″ per board.  It’s available in T&G or STP profiles.
