Installation Notes
This PROSAUNAS door is shipped prehung to make installation faster and more accurate:
-
Set the prehung unit into your prepared rough opening (see sizing above).
-
Use a level and shims/wedges to plumb and square the jambs.
-
Secure the hinge side first, then close the door to confirm alignment before fastening the opposite jamb.
-
Install the header/crossbeam, then insulate and seal any gaps between the jamb and wall framing (spray foam or similar).
-
Hinge tension and door alignment can be fine‑tuned via the hinge bolts and tension adjustment.
-
For a smooth close, adjust the roller latch or hinge tension so the door seats firmly without slamming.
Always follow the included installation manual and observe local building codes and sauna best practices.
Exterior Use
If this door is exposed to outdoor conditions (exterior saunas, outbuildings, etc.):
-
Fully treat and seal all sides, edges, and cut surfaces prior to installation.
-
Maintain the finish as needed to guard against moisture, UV, and temperature swings.
Proper finishing ensures long‑term performance and minimizes warping or checking.
