We sat in a Round Cube at Leil. It blew us away.
We experienced a Round Cube at Leil in Estonia and were blown away by the experience and the quality. On September 1, 2026, Ben Burger and Ben Frizzell sat in the Round Cube Single 2.6 on Leil’s balcony in Võnnu, with its juniper wall and HUUM wood stove.
The Relax is the same curved Round Cube, with Thermowood walls, aspen benches and a mirrored glass front. What changes is the seating: benches wrap around three walls, and the side benches are long enough to lie down on.

Seating
Four across the back. Lie down on the sides.
Both sizes seat four across the back bench. The Relax 2.2 adds two along each side, eight in all, and the Relax 2.6 adds three, ten in all. The side benches run the full depth of the room: 72 inches in the 2.2, enough for someone up to 6 ft tall to lie down, and 82 inches in the 2.6, up to 6 ft 10 in. Another person can stretch out across the back.
In Leil’s own test of the Relax 2.6, eleven bathers fit at once, with five across the back bench. With a HUUM CORE 11, it went from 54°F to 165°F in one hour on a 41°F day.

Relax 2.2 vs. 2.6
Same width and height. Choose the depth.
Both are 121 inches wide and 88 inches tall, with the same four-seat back bench. The 2.6 adds 13 inches of depth, one more seat on each side and 10 more inches of side bench.

The construction behind the comfort
Built for life outdoors, from the roof to the base.
The Round Cube shell is Thermowood, wood that has been thermally modified to take up less moisture and move less with the seasons. A black shingle roof and black-painted arches wrap the curved shape.

Why we insist on thermally modified wood
We’ve seen outdoor sauna kits develop gaps and cracks as their wood expanded and contracted. A year later, what looked like a heater struggling to keep up was heat escaping through those gaps.
That experience changed what we sell. For our solid-wood outdoor saunas, we choose thermally modified wood for its stability and durability: a tighter fit through the seasons and less heat escaping through gaps.

Check access and the base
Plan a route from the curb to the sauna’s spot and a stable, level base with drainage. The Relax 2.2 is 121 × 89 in and the 2.6 is 121 × 102 in, plus room for the door to open.

Budget beyond the kit
Curbside freight to the lower 48 states is $1,500 per sauna, added at checkout. Freight does not include unloading, moving the kit into your yard or assembly. Tax, base preparation and electrical work are separate.

Plan the electrical work
Choose your heater first. Your electrician uses that heater’s HUUM manual for the circuit, wiring and control placement. Leil’s manual puts the lighting on its own outdoor-rated supply with ground-fault protection.
We confirm your delivery window with Leil when you order. When the crate arrives, inspect it and note any visible damage with the carrier before you sign.

Good questions to ask.
Is a heater included?
No. The sauna kit price covers the sauna. The heater packages above add a HUUM heater, its UKU Wi-Fi control and the stones it needs. Choose sauna only if you are supplying your own suitable heater.
How many people fit, and can I lie down?
The Relax 2.2 seats up to eight, four across the back and two on each side; its 72-inch side benches fit someone up to 6 ft tall lying down. The Relax 2.6 seats up to ten, with three on each side and 82-inch side benches for someone up to 6 ft 10 in. In both, another person can lie across the back.
Should I choose the 2.2 or the 2.6?
The 2.2 seats eight in a 121 × 89 in footprint. The 2.6 seats ten in 121 × 102 in, with 82-inch side benches instead of 72-inch. If you want to lie down and you are taller than six feet, choose the 2.6.
How fast does it heat up?
In Leil’s test with a HUUM CORE 11, the Relax 2.6 went from 54°F to 165°F in one hour on a 41°F day. The Relax 2.2 has less air to heat with the same CORE 11 option.
Can I assemble it myself?
The Relax ships as a kit for assembly on site. Leil is finishing the Relax 2.2 and 2.6 assembly manual; ask us and we’ll send it as soon as Leil releases it. A licensed electrician connects the heater and lighting.
What base does it need?
A level, stable base with drainage under the sauna’s support points. Leil lists the sauna at 2,780 lb for the 2.2 and 2,980 lb for the 2.6, before the heater, stones and bathers. Leil’s Round Cube manual sets the sauna above ground level, with a water-resistant strip such as bitumen between its legs and the base. A deck needs its load capacity checked for the finished sauna, heater and bathers.
What does my electrician need to know?
Every heater package runs on 240 V. The CORE 11 and the HIVE Mini 10.6 each draw 43.75 A on a 50 A breaker; the HIVE 15 draws 62.5 A on two 50 A breakers. Those figures come from HUUM’s US manuals, which your electrician follows for wire size and control placement. LED lighting needs its own outdoor-rated supply with ground-fault protection.
Which glass should I choose?
Mirror glass is Leil’s standard front. Black and bronze glass are tinted alternatives, and all three are the same price. Open Studio above the photos to compare them.
What is the juniper back wall?
Rounds of juniper set into the wall behind the back bench: the patterned wall in Leil’s photos. Juniper brings its own natural scent and texture to the room.
How do I care for the wood?
Leil’s manual has you treat the interior walls and oil the benches before first use, then once or twice a year. Kits arrive without an exterior coating, so coat the outside after assembly and again about two months later. Leave the door open after a session so the room dries, and clear heavy snow from the roof.
What warranty applies?
Leil’s Round Cube manual gives 24 months on material and production defects from delivery, on the condition that Leil assembles the sauna. Talk with us about coverage for a kit you or your builder assemble.
