Automatic löyly is a very good thing to own: measured water on the stones on a schedule, no one leaving the bench. The AutoLeil does that. What surprises people is that the system and its primary pipe are separate purchases, and the pipe is required, so an order with only the unit on it is an order that cannot be commissioned.
Why pre-bent
The pipe has to route from the dispensing unit to the heater and arrive at the right angle over the stones. Bending pipe to that geometry on site is slow, easy to get wrong, and hard to make look tidy. Saunum ships it already formed, which shortens the install and means the finished run looks intentional.

What it does in the system
It carries the dosed water to the stones and is shaped to keep the air path around the heater clear, so the dispensing does not interfere with the circulation the heater is doing. Saunum’s heaters are built around moving air deliberately, and a pipe run through the wrong part of that flow works against the machine.
The order it belongs on
With the Saunum AutoLeil dispensing unit, and ideally with the heater it will serve. If you are specifying a Saunum Air Perfect or Air L build, put all three on the same order and the install happens once.
Why we list it separately
Because Saunum sells it separately and hiding it inside a bundle price would misrepresent what is shipping. We would rather the line item is visible and the customer knows what arrives on the pallet.
