The process actually reduces VOC levels that are naturally occurring in all wood. No additional chemicals or VOCs would be introduced during the process.

An hour is pretty standard. It may reach temperature before that, but the magic happens after the interior wood gets a chance to heat up and radiate back from all directions.

If assembling an Ikea couch is a 3 out of 10, the Thermory Barrel Sauna Kit is probably a 5 out of 10 difficulty. It’s really just following instructions with a little troubleshooting to get the last piece to fit.

The Thermory process is a specialized thermal modification method used to improve the properties of wood, making it more durable, stable, and resistant to decay. The wood is heated in a specialized chamber at high temperatures up to 215°C (419°F). During this process, steam is introduced to prevent the wood from cracking or splitting

How would you rate the difficulty of assembly?

The reason the HUUM Drop is more expensive is because it has an external control and more rocks. The Harvia KIP will be a simpler installation, and likely last longer. The reasons to go with the HUUM is for looks or a WIFI controller.

Does the Thermory process out-gas when heated to normal sauna operating temperatures?

Love the quality of the sauna. I was impressed with the whole package.

They’re a good option. Almost Heaven is owned by Harvia. We believe these Thermory barrel saunas are more durable, consistent, and practical. The main difference is that Thermory uses Thermally modified wood.

The heater should be hardwired to your panel. A heater with built in controls will save your electrician 1-2 hours.

The No 60 has the porch and window, the No 61 has a porch, the No 62 has a window, and the 63 has neither. All have the same exterior dimensions, but remember that the porch eats into the interior space.

I read your reviews on your webpage. I had been tentatively looking at Almost Heaven. I noticed you didn't say anything good or bad about these, compared to some others.

I don't presently have a 240v outlet. We do have 100 amp 240v service (our stove and furnace run off 240) and room in the panel. How is it supposed to be wired? Put a 240v GFCI outlet on the outside of the house, and plug the sauna into the outlet? Or does it need to hard-wire with underground conduit directly into the sauna? I'm not doing this myself, just wondering what to tell the electrician when I shop around for bids. I have 2 locations where I'm considering placing the sauna, one is about 3 feet from the cabin, the other is about 20-30 feet away.

The website gave an option for a different, more expensive heater. (HUUM Drop 7.5kv) What's the difference compared to the Harvia?

I read the installation instructions, it looks like it comes with a Roof cap or rain jacket? Does it need additional roofing?
